Coloration of the body with two bright yellow stripes on the sides; caudal fin darkish.
Description: Characterized further by silvery body color; lateral line scales 120-135; single gill raker at angle of first gill arch; well spaced teeth, first two pairs in upper jaw angled inward; rounded corner of preopercle, absence of projecting flap; maxilla reaching within half eye diameter of anterior edge of eye; origin of first dorsal fin over origin of pelvic fins; forked caudal fin with slight convexity on each side of midline; depth of body 7.0-8.0 in SL (Ref. 90102).
